Basic campsite on farm, yurts also available. Friendly. Toilet facilities. Great location. Good local pub with food. Open even early Feb.
Owners are helpful and knowledgeable. Site is well maintained. Great location for Go Ape, Grizedale forest and general bumbling in the Lakes. Good facilities, they do a breakfast option if you don't want to cook your own. I thoroughly recommend a Pod. Having the guaranteed space and comfort is a welcome change- I'll definitely be back to see Arthur and the family next year. Can't recommend highly enough to be honest.
I love this campsite, been here 3 times now.Such a chilled out site. No camp site police to spoil your fun.Everyone is friendly and relaxed, really nice welcome from the owners. Facilities are basic, but the experience more than makes up for it.Came this weekend with my family, the grandchildren hit it off with the other children on site, playing all day on the rope swings and climbing rocks, bliss.Can't wait for the next camp.The Barry clan
Fantastic little campsite, friendly owners and good clean facilities. Close to Hawkshead and woodland walks. Love that you are able to pitch anywhere with added fire pits. Had a lovely few nights and will return!
Nice and quiet. toilets and showers could be cleaner. Can have fires and the on site shops sells dry logs. Pitch anywhere that there is space on the field. has a couple of hidden corners so you can pitch with more privacy. There is the option to go a bit further up into the woods, but they like to keep children on the open field.
