Fabulous old style traditional pub with roaring log fire..good selection of cask ales at reasonable price..very good menu...Friday special fish chips and mushy peas 5 only. Every table booked up. So book early. Good portion sizes too. Very worth a visit.
Cosy friendly atmosphere. Good selection of drinks and nice menu. My husband had the battered black pudding for starter and he thought it was excellent. Roast lamb was also very good and plentiful.
Just popped in for a quick pint and did not eat, I looked on enviously at the meals others were eating, they looked very nice. Its a pleasant pub with a nice Laurel and Hardy themed interior. The bar staff were friendly and created a good atmosphere
Just great. High quality food beautifully prepared. Very good sized portions and loads of flavour. Kind and efficient staff and the prices are very sensible. Best food in town and definitely a grade or two above normal pub grub.
